Persistence Is the Key

They are the ones who have not accepted defeat as anything more than temporary. They are the ones whose desires are applied with such perseverance that defeat ultimately turns into victory.

W. Clement Stone tells the story of Tom, “who was born without half a right foot and only a stretch of right arm. As a boy, he wanted to play sports like other boys. He had a desire ardent to play football. Because of this desire, his parents made him an artificial foot. It was made of wood. The wooden foot was encased in a special football shoe.
